The park is a home to many rare animals, endangered plants including edelweiss, the symbol of Pirin, and one of the world’s oldest trees, Baykusheva pine (over 1300 years old). Walking in the woods you can easily see 200-300 years old trees.
In the park you can feast your eyes on rocky mountain ridges, glacial valleys, reserved forest, more than 70 glacial lakes and colorful waterfalls. Several furnished hiking trails with experienced guides function here.
